DIY Jute Yarn Planter

Hello friends....
From last few weeks my days are just flying. I have been super busy these days, new project at office and guests at home *sad*. As I was not getting enough time to do anything new, I was missing my DIY projects a lot. So finally decided, this weekend I will must do something....otherwise my DIY to do list will never reduce its weight *wink*. Then just surfed through the to do list and chosen an easy peasy DIY...something that requires less time and less items. I'll not say this is my original idea. I have seen such planters in some stores, which we can also make with some household items. Here is the planter and tutorial for you all....
Items Required:
1- A Food Container
2- Jute Yarn
3- Glue
4- Acrylic Paint
5- Paint Brush
6- Scissors
Step-1
Applied glue on the pot and then started rolling the yarn from the bottom of the pot.
Step-2
Covered the pot completely and left it to dry for around 30 minutes.
Step-3
Once the glue dried completely made some designs with paint. I made three different designs on three sides of the pot, so that different patterns can be seen from different angles.
Then it's ready. Within an hour I made it. Happy me *smile*. You should also try it, as its super easy to make. Hope you all will like it.

Zen Themed Tablescapes

Before three four decades people had different lifestyle and now most of us have more stressful and fast life than what it was in past. I think each of us somewhere somehow has some challenge to meet or target to fulfill, no matter whether it’s in home or at workplace. To take a break from all these, we all wait for the weekends. It’s the time to do all the pending works, spending quality time with family, pampering yourself, meeting friends, watching movie/TV, relaxing & unwinding and do whatever we love to do. Weekend works as a boost up, which recharge us and prepare us for the next week. For most of us our home is the best place where we feel most calm and peace.

When talking about calm and peace it’s best to have a zen inspired space or corner at home. Zen philosophy is a traditional Japanese philosophy that inspires simple, natural, minimal, soft, balanced, clutter free, relaxing and harmonious spaces and designs. We can go for a zen themed room or a garden or a corner or simply a zen themed tablescape. I love to incorporate the zen philosophy in my home décor time to time, specially I do some zen settings for the weekends. Today I would love to share some pics that I have clicked along with some inspirational quotes by Gautam Buddha.

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle,
and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared."
- Gautam Buddha

"They blame those who remain silent,
they blame those speak much,
they blame those who speak in moderation.
There is none in the world who is not blamed.”
- Gautam Buddha

"Purity and impurity depend on oneself;
no one can purify another."
- Gautam Buddha

"You yourself,
as much as anybody in the entire universe,
deserve your love and affection.”
- Gautam Buddha

"We are shaped by our thoughts;
we become what we think.
When the mind is pure,
joy follows like a shadow that never leaves."
- Gautam Buddha

"Do not dwell in the past,
do not dream of the future,
concentrate the mind on the present moment."
- Gautam Buddha

"There is no fire like passion, there is no shark like hatred,
there is no snare like folly, there is no torrent like greed."
- Gautam Buddha

These are few glimpses of some zen themed decoration at my place for you all....for all the coming days with full of positive energy.
