DIY Vase with a Dangler

Hello there.....

This time after a long gap I am coming up with a DIY. Due to bad health I was away from DIY work from last few days. But at the same time I am very happy that many of you asked about what's my next DIY and also when I am going to make next post about any DIY. When I found myself surrounded with so many encouraging and motivating persons, I really feel obliged and blessed. So this one is for you all. Like my previous DIYs this is also very simple and easy. It's also a part of my bottle obsession. You can find out some of my creative bottles here.  Have a look what I have made....
Items Required
1- A plastic bottle (I used a cough syrup bottle)
2- An old dangling earring or Mantika, that you don't use anymore.
3- Some ribbon (I used golden ribbon as it was looking perfect with the golden dangler that I had)
4- Glue
5- Some thread
6- A sharp knife to cut the bottle
7- Scissors
Tutorial
Step-1
Take out the label first and then clean the bottle properly. Let it dry for some time. Then heat the knife slightly and cut the bottle from neck. Be careful while doing this. Then stick the top of the bottle below the bottle like the image below with some glue. Then tie the ear ring with a thread.
Step-2
Tie the thread on top of the bottle and then apply glue on it.
Step-3
Stick the ribbon all over the tread of the dangler covering it completely. Stick ribbon on some more places to make it more beautiful. Then it's ready.
Presently I have kept few peacock feathers in it. It can also be used as flower vase or pen stand too. Hope you all will like it.
I just love the little embellishments hanging from the neck of the vase...pretty isn't it !!!

Blog Tour: Color2drape

Hello my Lovely readers...
Hope you all are doing good. I am here with a blog tour for you all.

Women have remained the center of focus in the words of poets and art of artists since ages. Today on 11th October, "International Day of the Girl Child" I am going to welcome a very talented painter Sabita Sahu of blog Color2drape, a wonderful painter and whose paint brush, colors and words, says a lot about a woman and about a mother.

Let's welcome Sabita on When Creative Juices Flow...

Hello Sabita, tell us something about yourself.

I am SabitaSahu basically from Orissa, educated as an bioinformatician. Have moved to Hyderabad after marriage and a mother of a three year old baby boy.

I was awestruck when I first saw her paintings, with so much professional touch. Love the detailing and play of colours...
Have you taken any formal training in painting? When did you find your passion for painting? And what was your inspiration to start your blog?
I am a self taught artist and you can find my paintings based mostly on Indian culture and traditions and also on nature elements too. Frankly speaking its my husband who has nurtured the growing seed of creativity in me and made painting a very important part of my life.
As Sabita said her husband is the person who solely nurtured her talent...
Her paintings shows this true love....a women full of dreams and lots of hopes in her eyes, when starts a new life...a great friend and guide as a life partner is indeed a blessing.
Do you have any other passions apart from painting and blogging?
Apart from painting and blogging I love making creative craft projects and love photography which I keep sharing sometimes on my blog too. Besides painting I have a burning desire of writing on any particular topic that keep inspiring me and as my paintings are the outcome of my inspiration so those paintings have some stories to be said that's being written within my mind which I keep on sharing in my blog. I drape these inspiring painting and stories with loads of colors and hence I named my blog as color2drape.
Sabita is a mother of a baby boy and the unconditional love between a mother and her child can be seen from her paintings too...
The following two sketches...
The left one describes the feelings, emotions and thoughts of a woman waiting for someone special...
The right one..a painting that Sabita has titled Ghunghat...
Dressing up for some occasion is a must...look at the beautiful ladies...
What are your future plans?
My dream in life is to start up a self business relating my artworks through different mediums and make them reach people who have soft corner for art in their heart.
A painting of Krisha stealing butter and the elephant headed God Ganesha says a lot in itself.
Few more drool worthy paintings by her..
An illustrative night....
An African painting, showing few ladies working...I personally love the border of the painting...
A Zen themed painting with few blooming lotus...
Lastly, few words from Sabita about When Creative Juices Flow...
Talking about your blog I was very inspired by its title and your posts never fail to make complete justice to your blog title each and every time. Do make more creative projects and keep inspiring us Shashwatee.
What you say...isn't she a very talented painter...I wish her lots of luck from me and from When Creative Juices Flow's viewers....
