Blog Tour: Safal Arts

Hello readers...hope you are doing good.

Today I have come up with my first post about an inspiring blog and a very talented blogger. I have a soft corner towards art & craft, and I think you all also know that *smile*. I was blown away when I first saw her art work. Today I am going to welcome a very talented Warli artist Safal Chitre, who presently lives in USA and blogs at Safal Arts

Here are few words from Safal

I am Safal Chitre. Currently live in USA, originally from Mumbai. I am a self-motivated artist. By education I am an Engineer however, always attracted towards art world. The simplicity and the elegance of Warli style impressed me so I learnt Warli art. From last 4 years I have started my artistic journey and it is flourishing.

Apart from traditional Warli style, I am trying to give modern look to it by adding colours and patterns on various mediums. Also I am more interested in making home decor stuffs and DIY projects. In future apart from Warli I would love to learn and try other folk arts too.”

Let’s have a look at her art works…

Here are some very nicely and neatly done wall arts or Warli Chakras...
Following one is a painting that she calls Warli Fun...
The painting below is done by keeping in mind the traditional colour combination of Warli art, Brick red and White. You can see a deer family in this painting.
Some more wall art..
They looks very simple, but they require lots of patience and imagination. The whole story of a village is narrated in one painting.
Along with Warli art she also tries her hand on other form of paintings and here is my favorite one, a Madhubani painting inspired Sun God motif home decor..
What you say...isn't she a very talented blooming artist...I wish her a long and successful journey in this field .

To see more of her artworks, you can visit her

Don't forget to share your views and let us know how do you find her work.

Blissful Bottles

I believe a lot on the mantra of Three R's - Recycle, Reuse and Reduce and try to implement it on day today life to best possible way. Not a single bottle is thrown at my place, specially the glass bottles. All the bottles are reused. Sometimes even bottles of unique shape and size are collected from friends and relatives.

Then they are given a new look................here are some.

My art bottles. Had a desire to have a collection of different art forms, so came up with this idea of art on bottle.

Now lets have a look of these three bottles individually...
Black and white Warli art bottle.

Madhubani art bottle. Just madly in love with this art form.

An art bottle inspired from Meenakshi designs. An art form that she calls Madhukari...

Pattachitra, an art form that is basically done on palm leave and cloth in Odisha by using natural colours. Got a place on a bottle.

A simple Warli art bottle in my balcony garden.

Candle drop bottles. Will come up with the tutorial soon :)

I had just cut the embroidery from an old dress and glued it on a bottle. Then glued some twine and painted it. Here is the outcome.

Mosaic art bottle. You can make you own bottle. Find the tutorial here...

A green plastic bottle painted with simple flower design...

Another bottle in the kitchen looks perfect with my handmade Paper Mache small pot and Pistachio shell lotus.

It was a tomato sauce bottle and  now its a chalk board painted bottle. Find the tutorial here

Had these small blue medicine bottles. Now they are a part of my sea themed decoration. They got this look for the summer with some sea shells and twine. Sea themed decoration for summer coming soon on blog :) ...

Cold drink bottle planters with the concept of vertical gardening...

..............will continue adding more bottles to the collection and more content to this post :) :).
